Thinking of Volunteering?
An important part of the River Corridor Greenways Project is community involvement and a volunteer Co-ordinator post was created to help and encourage local people to participate in projects.

Throughout the duration of the Project, Clare Christian is running volunteering activities and training days for local people to learn new skills, meet new people and make a difference to our green spaces.
Clare says, “although much of the capital projects will be undertaken by contractors, there will be many opportunities for local people to get involved in some of the smaller improvement work. There is woodland management work to be done, such as thinning, planting and vegetation clearance, as well as learning the valuable art of dry stone walling.”

If you're interested in volunteering see the Volunteering Activities Programme for ideas.
